Tania Gheerbrant is an artist and researcher. She graduated from the Beaux-arts de Paris in 2017. Her work mirrors our disciplinary society and questions normativity, particularly in the field of mental health.
She constructs a militant and collective counter-history of madness, analysing the mechanisms of self-loss that affect us all. Based on long-term research and forms of co-creation, her work takes shape as installations, publications, videos and films.
Her recent exhibitions include: Salzburger Kunstverein (solo) 2025 ; Palais de Tokyo 2024; Frac Bretagne 2024; Bally Foundation 2023; Chapelle des Beaux-Arts, Paris 2022; 66e Salon de Montrouge 2022; Cité Internationale des Arts 2021; Point Commun 2021; Fondation Fiminco 2021; Panacée MoCo, Montpellier 2019.
She has been awarded various grants and prizes, including the Prix Art Norac and Mécène du Sud in 2024. Her latest works have been commissioned by the Fondation Bally (Switzerland) and supported by the Palais de Tokyo (Paris) and the DRAC Île-de-France.
